When I was thinking up this next comic, I kind of was thinking of several other games. I have experienced lag so badly in World of Warcraft that its like you are standing still going “yup”…insert pause “yup”. It can be horrid! This comic actually gave me an idea for a future comic that I will do in February. Yes, I have several planned out between now and then. You should see the list and note cards I have next to my desk.
In this post I wanted to feature the AKK Horse and this one is the AKK 09 XL WS Legend Arabian x Black Blanket Appaloosa Horse. I haven’t been by recently to see if the 2010’s are out yet or not, but I imagine they will be at some point in the next few months. The nice thing about these horses is that you have several options in the menu that you can do with them. They can also do poses for photos (which is a double yay for me). They are a bit expensive but if you are a huge animal lover, they are worth every Linden.
Also just want to draw your attention to the site contest. It closes on the 31st. I will accept entries on the 31st but past that nope. So please read up on the site contest if you are interested in winning some gift cards and Lindens

Sometimes you will be walking along in a sim and forget to see that you are crossing over a sim line so you look like you just keep walking. And then it creates this reaction of wait stop moving I want to go over there. Noooo! Stop!!! Yeah well that is what it does for me. Especially if I am on a shopping spree looking for a specific something. Thus the inspiration to this comic. Thank you Victoria Sabra for helping to model in the comic for me (P.S. We still actually need to go shopping!).
I would love to draw your attention to the pose that Vic and I are using for this comic. It is from Glitterati and it actually allows three people to fit on the pose. Glitterati also has these awesome photo booth scenes you can rez and use (which come with several poses). I will try and figure a way to squeeze one of those into a future post. Anyway if you haven’t check out a place that has cute poses for friends, groups, and lovers then hurry to Glitterati.

First off, thank you Catero Revolution for being my male model and amazing friend.
This comic more today is on a fail for myself. Which after talking to some other, I have realized its a fail that is semi common depending on who you use for a website host and so forth. When I was working with the FTP and other related items to establish the site, I started hunting for nice features. I discovered how to set up my own forums and did. Though after much talk with a few friends, I realized maybe that was a bit over kill and removed them. But as I was setting up forums I decided to install a profanity filter in order to help make sure some words didn’t get said in the wrong context at someone. This was mostly because I was worried about moderation over the forums if they did work. Turns out my profanity filter was awesome in blocking out the word except for one detail. If for instance using the words a*sistance/cla*sifieds it would freak out and block the words so that it appeared as ***istance/cl***sifieds. So in all honesty, today’s post is to make fun of myself along with some of the filters out there that cause such related issues. Needless to say, I have also deleted the filter.
Also here is a quick link to the game Mine Sweeper for those that may not know what it is. http://www.mine-sweeper.com/
Something else I wanted to draw your attention to in this post is the noir sofa from The Loft. This is probably one of my favorite Second Life items to date. This is mostly because of all the different pose balls that are within it that do cater well to both men and women. This couch also comes in another colorful arrangement but both the noir and colorful Addison sofas are around 9 prims. So for anyone that loves several poses built into a low amount of wonderful quality furniture (as well as quality poses) I encourage that you check out The Loft.

When I was trying to come up with comics relating to Second Life, I stopped and thought about those silly moments that happen in real life and sometimes in Second Life. Then I could not help but combine the two together. I mean I have been guilty when really distracted of putting my socks and shoes on and almost walking out the house to realize, “Oh yeah, pants are important”. I have even made the mistake of forgetting them with a skirt once during an interview. You couldn’t see it straight up as I was sitting unless you started caming around my body. Which someone was looking at my fashion of the day outfit and happened to inform me I was missing them. That still is probably one of my most horrific moments in Second Life. Thing is, I can’t help but laugh at myself when it happens. Thus you now know where the inspiration came from for this comic.
I want to take the time to thank Ted Cornell in volunteering to be the person making the blunder of teleporting into a group with no pants. My thanks also goes to Heather Connolly, Blu Jupiter, Joanna Sweetwater, Que Loopen, liane Boomhauer, leggzz Brandi, Rico Olisskin, and Purr Destiny for putting up with my need of the perfect group shot. I also appreciate the patience required during the process. I also enjoyed being able to take a picture that showed off various Second Life styles other then my own. So seriously, thank you.
Something that I do want to direct your attention to is the prop that is being used in the group shot. It is from LEAR and is known as the Treppe. It fits nine people on it max and has a show/hide deal with the pose balls just in case you don’t have that many bodies. LEAR is kind of a fun pose/photo studio place to check out. They also sell specific houses and so forth dedicated to the art of photo taking. I just finally snagged an excuse to finally use an item from there and I do not doubt that it will be the very last time I do. I look forward to going back and raiding the store for future comics in fact.

I would like to take the time to thank my friends Shiryu Musashi, Valerie Jefferson, and Alicia Chenaux. Without them I couldn’t have thought up the idea of this comic. I felt it was fitting to also use them for this comic because well it did originate from a discussion with them. So thank you guys so much for this.
Over the holidays we were standing around and chatting as a group. The discussion about fangirls and friends came up. Well, after I was considering launching the web comic this very conversation came to mind. I talked to Shiryu, Valerie, and Alicia about it and they agreed in the hilarity of it all. I hope that you too find the funny. I mean seriously if you think about it, several of us have some very very talented artistic friends in Second Life. And because of the fact they are friends and we love what they create, we enjoy wearing/showing those items off. So for me, this comic doesn’t just stem from just this conversation or Musashi-Do products, but for several other stores as well.
Shiryu Musashi has been around Second Life since 2004. His clothing store, Musashi-Do, carries clothing for both and men and women with various styles ranging from casual to elegant. If you like what you see in the comic above, I highly suggest that you visit Musashi-Do.

Remember how I said I really loved that fuwa fuwa bubble from Body Language? Ta Da! Another comic post that involves it. There is a bit of a story that goes with this post. When I go afk for a length of time in Second Life or feel like I can’t pay attention to much I will break out this bubble and sit in it. I have nicknamed it my thought bubble.
For added fun so that I am not disturbed I will put a message bubble popping out saying if I am busy, afk, and so forth. (They are really, really easy to make. Just go into photoshop/gimp, create little circles and one big circle. Then type in a message. Add an innershadow to help make the lines noticeable – which I recommend near max opacity and to decrease the size/distance. Viola! Speech Bubble. I prefer to save it as a .png over the targa because the targa can do funky things sometimes.)
One day I was sitting in the bubble working away in photoshop for an article I was preparing. My friend Talila would walk in and poke me a few times. Well, sometimes I can’t help but picture this comic transpiring if I was actually in Second Life. So thank you Talila for this idea.

Tonight’s comic was inspired a year ago. I was sitting in a boring MIS lecture and started doodling out ideas for things I wanted to create for giggles in Second Life. The holy cow was one of them. Sadly I never got around to making the cow but was able to at least piece it together. The cow is from Sculpty Creations and is the Holstein version. It comes packed with three of them that have a few animations with them. The wings are from [OMFG] and are the Perefim’s Wings of Faith. Which the wings themselves are rather fun to manipulate around with. I am unsure if these wings in particular are still available. If interested in owning a set, you may need to contact StarSailor Luminos for more details.
I couldn’t have done this comic with out Aldwyn Zanzibar. Thanks Al for the help.
The bench that Al and I are sitting on is from Las Islas. It comes with built in poses to change between. Perfect for those out door settings.

The concept of this comic was born because of well, I love bubbles. I don’t know when the last time was in real life I actually played with bubbles and bubble wands. But I have fun with bubbles any time I see them when doing the dishes and so forth. I am silly, this I know. Anyway the bubble that Talila Liu is caught in is called a fuwa fuwa bubble and can be found at Body Language. I absolutely love this thing which you will find out just how much in a future post this week.
Something else I would love to draw your attention to is my skin. It’s from Eloh Eliot and can be found here. It is a full perm skin and I am absolutely in love with everything I was able to do to modify it up. See I love creating, really, really do. But skins are something I seriously don’t have the patience to sit down and figure out. Maybe someday in the future I may, but for now no. I am all for having control of my skin, since well I do in real life. So for anyone looking to get into skins, or for those that are like me and just want to take the time to modify up for a certain need, I highly recommend the Eloh Eliot skins. Which more of his more recent skin files that have been made, are available here. Just make sure to read the terms of use if you plan on doing hand outs here and FAQ here.
